Inter are considering swooping for a player to boost their attacking options in the January transfer window and have placed Genoa star Rodrigo Palacio at the top of that list according to reports from Italy.

Palacio only joined Genoa last year from Argentine giants Boca Juniors, but the 28-year-old, who can play up front or on the wing, has already made his mark in Serie A. The forward can also boast a Spanish passport, making his recruitment all the easier for any interested party.

The Nerazzurri have struggled to replicate their goalscoring form of last season so far in this campaign, with Diego Milito appearing out-of-sorts and need an attacking boost. Genoa paid €6M for Palacio and are believed to want at least €9M to part company with the player.
