Northern Ireland secured a good point against Italy in Belfast last night with a 0-0 final score, but despite the general feeling being of a draw being a decent result, some of the home side’s players were still disappointed not to have taken all three.

"I think we’re in a good position", said Northern Ireland boss Nigel Worthington after a point means it is four points from two games for his side, "but the players are disappointed with a point. We had a couple of chances, but didn’t pass the ball well."

Worthington was delighted with the attitude of his players though, aiming to beat Italy and not satisfied just to draw.

"I’m delighted by their attitude", said the former Norwich City manager, "not thinking of a draw but instead wanting to beat the former world champions."
