Real Madrid legend Hugo Sanchez has spoken out about the club’s French striker Karim Benzema. The former Lyon star has so far failed to make his mark with Los Blancos, and Sanchez believes that it has not yet dawned on the 22-year-old just which club he is playing for.
"Benzema does not yet know Real Madrid", Sanchez told Madrid-based daily Marca, adding: "I’ve noticed he is still very confused and does not know what this club is."
Benzema has reportedly been made available for transfer in January, should Real Madrid receive a suitable offer. The Frenchman has flattered to deceive since arriving in the Spanish capital and with Juventus, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur all making eyes at the striker, he will have no shortage of suitors.
