Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has refused to rule out returning to former club Barcelona at some point in his career. The Ivory Coast international left the Camp Nou for Eastlands this past summer, for a fee of £24M, but could once again play for the Blaugrana.

Toure insisted that his decision to leave Barcelona was "the hardest decision of my life", before continuing to tell Catalunya Radio that he could be back.

"I left because at this point in my career I wanted to play many minutes and [Roberto] Mancini gave them to me. I could not accept being a backup, so I went to City."

He also confirmed he could once again "wear the Barcelona shirt", adding, "I’m sure I’ll be back. As a tourist? No, I see myself more as a player."
