Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira has revealed that he holds a special place in his heart for Zinedine Zidane and was thrilled to be able to meet the Los Blancos legend.

Khedira moved to the Bernabeu in the summer, transferring from hometown club Stuttgart, and is already regarded as a key member of Jose Mourinho’s plans.

"I saw Zidane for the first time two weeks ago", explained Khedira to Marca. "It was a very special moment for me. I had a dream in my childhood of meeting him."

The midfielder also said that Zidane often helps him with tips and advice and that he still believes the Frenchman "is the most complete player in the world."
