England coach Fabio Capello has said Montenegro deserve respect after their 0-0 draw with the hosts at Wembley last night. Montenegro came in to the game as Group G leaders in Euro 2012 qualifying, having won all three of their games; England could not break the visitors down and despite boos ringing out at the end of the match, Capello believes Montenegro were good opponents.

"I spoke with the players and said [the Montenegro team] were defending very well. It’s [Montenegro’s] fourth clean sheet, they get a clean sheet every game. And you really have to respect Montenegro, it is a really compact team, defending very well."

Capello also said that the Montenegro keeper should take the plaudits as England created five or six chances but "the keeper was really good, he saved every time."

The result means Montenegro continue to lead Group G with 10 points from four games, with England just behind having picked up seven, but having played a game less.
