Sidney Govou is getting himself in hot water with Panathinaikos, according to reports from Greece. The former Lyon star made the move to the Greek Super League champions in the summer, but has struggled at times and has already been spoken to on three occasions about his behaviour.

Govou has been spotted out and about late at night in Athens, breaking a curfew set down by the club which says no player shall stay out past 3am when there is not a game the next day. On the night before a match it is surely even stricter.

The Frenchman was spotted in an Athens nightclub very late, and would have returned home after the 3am deadline. Panathinaikos have warned Govou about his behaviour and this is not the first time they have had to take such action.

Team-mate Djibril Cissie has, according to Sportsnet.gr, given up trying to convince Govou. "I have already told him", said Cisse. "I can’t do anything more."
