Fernando Llorente has declared that if no club is prepared to meet his buy-out clause then he is sure his future remains with Athletic Bilbao.

Both Barcelona and Real Madrid are known to be fans of the Spanish international and each would love to add him to their squad. However, neither of the two La Liga giants are prepared to pay Llorente’s buy-out clause of €36M.

"I have three years left on this contract with Athletic and unless the club wants to sell me, I’m sure I’ll stay here", said the 25-year-old.

"I have a clause of €36M and I guess that no one wants to pay that. I’m very happy here and just thinking about playing for Athletic."

It is unlikely speculation surrounding the forward will go away however, and Barcelona and Real Madrid will still hope to snap up the player for a price lower than his buy-out clause.
