Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has ruled out making any signings during the winter transfer window. The Portuguese boss had been heavily linked with bringing in an extra striker, but says that the players he has got are the players he trusts – until the end of the season at least.

"This is the squad until the end of the season. These are the players that we trust", said Mourinho. "Real Madrid have made investments in previous years and this past summer."

The former Inter supremo went on to say he believes he has the perfect squad, hence not wanting to change a thing.

"We have the perfect squad, because these are the perfect template. We have excellent staff, with players who give the coach a lot of confidence and I do not want any players in the winter market."

Questions will inevitably be asked as to whether Mourinho’s position will change if there are any exits from the Bernabeu, with both Karim Benzema and Kaka believed to be available for the right price.
