Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has quashed rumours in Italy that Gareth Bale could make a move to Inter.

The Welshman has been linked with a summer switch to the Nerazzurri, with Inter believing the door may be open if Spurs fail to qualify for next season’s Champions League. Redknapp has denied that Bale will leave however.

"Bale is not for sale", said Redknapp. "He’s one of the best full backs in the world and we want to keep him here."

In Italy it had been suggested that Sulley Muntari could be a makeweight in any potential deal and while Redknapp has dismissed Bale’s sale, he did leave open the possibility of working with the Ghana star, though stressing it was not a priority.

"Muntari? I had him at Portsmouth and he’s a nice player, but having so many quality midfielders is not a priority."
