Ahead of this evening’s meeting with his former club, Hamburg midfielder Ze Roberto has said that despite Bayern Munich’s poor start to the Bundesliga season, he still considers them big favourites to win the title.
The Allianz Arena outfit have struggled at times this season and go into tonight’s game in tenth place, having lost three of their eight games so far and picked up just 11 points. However, Ze Roberto, whose Hamburg side are in fifth with 14 points, is not fooled by Bayern’s stuttering start.
"Although they have many shortcomings, the quality [at Bayern] is always the same", said the Brazilian, before adding that Louis van Gaal’s side remain "the number one candidate", to win the Bundesliga. Ze Roberto will undoubtedly need to be on form to stop them this evening in Hamburg.
