Former Benfica coach Ronald Koeman has appeared to rule himself out of becoming the new Middlesbrough boss. The Dutchman, who has been out of work since leaving AZ Alkmaar in his homeland in December of last year, did though admit a desire to experience English football.
"I would love to work in England, preferably at the highest level or at a club with potential", said Koeman to NuSport newspaper, before adding, "I do not see that at Middlesbrough."
Koeman has vast experience on the coaching front to go with a glittering playing career which saw him rule Spain with Barcelona. The 47-year-old’s comments appear to imply that he will be keeping a close eye out for coaching opportunities in England.
