Karim Benzema has said that he believes he will succeed at Real Madrid and is determined to do so. The French striker has seen his place at the Bernabeu questioned amidst rumours of less than 100% commitment to the cause. It is also believed Benzema could be available at the right price.

However, the former Lyon hitman, who has been told to work harder by coach Jose Mourinho, is desperate to succeed and prove his doubters wrong.

"I work hard to get more game time and once I play, people will realise what I’m capable of"
, Benzema told Los Blancos official site. "I’m still sure I’ll succeed at Real Madrid. I have no doubt! If I have to defend and run, I will. I will work harder still to play more and prove to everyone that I am a great striker capable of scoring goals while playing good football."

Benzema also played down differences between himself and Real Madrid boss Mourinho, stating that Jose Mourinho is "one of the best coaches" he has ever worked with.
