Cristiano Ronaldo expressed his delight at scoring four times against Racing Santander at the Bernabeu last night, and praised his team-mates for making it happen. Los Blancos simply destroyed the visitors in a match that ended 6-1.
"I am very happy", said Ronaldo, "because I have never scored four goals before, but today it was important to the team."
Racing were just blown away by the Portuguese and had no answer to the constant surging attacks Los Blancos mounted almost from the first minute. Ronaldo also took the time to praise his team-mates, stressing scoring four goals would not have been possible without them.
"It would not have been possible to score without the help of my team-mates. I am a team player. "
