Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez has stated his desire to remain at Old Trafford for the long-term and to win as many trophies as possible is what is behind his hard-working impressive recent performances.

The Mexican hitman was on target twice yesterday to hand Sir Alex Ferguson’s side a 2-1 win away to Stoke and a valuable three points.

Hernandez has so far scored five times in ten games, four of them coming in his last five matches, and the little striker is already looking like a snip at a reported £7M. The 22-year-old though, puts his good form down to his team-mates.

"This is down to my team-mates", said Hernandez to the club’s website when questioned about superb recent displays. "They have trust in me, and also the staff. It’s an unbelievable opportunity for me to play with the biggest team in the world, Manchester United. I’m working hard because I want to stay here a long time and win lots of trophies."
