Croatian international Dario Srna is attracting much attention with the realisation that his contract is running out and due to end next summer. The Shakhtar Donetsk star is believed to be ready for a new challenge, having turned out for the Ukrainian giants since 2003 and established himself as a legend at the club.

Given Srna’s desire to try something new, Shakhtar are expected to make the 28-year-old available for transfer in January, in the hope of realising some sort of fee for the versatile right sided player.

Leading the chase for the Croatian are a powerful quartet of Chelsea, Juventus, Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich. Srna is thought to favour a move to England, but would be open to a switch to Italy or Germany too if the conditions were acceptable to Shakhtar and himself.

Shakhtar are thought to be looking for around €11M to release Srna from his contract. However, given the player’s loyal service and good relationship with billionaire owner Rinat Akhmetov, he could secure a lower price if there was a club his heart was set on.
