Bayern Munich youngster Toni Kroos bagged his first goal of the Bundesliga campaign on Friday night in the club’s 2-1 win over Freiburg and has said he "never doubted" that he would find the back of the net.
Kroos returned to Bayern Munich in the summer, following a hugely successful one-year loan spell at Bayer Leverkusen, yet his failure to find the back of the net had become a concern. Indeed, since 2007, the 20-year-old has made 29 appearances for Bayern, but could only count Friday’s game as his first with a goal.
"This is certainly a good thing, to have scored. It was time I did it, but I never doubted that I could do it", said Kroos. "I created opportunities in each of my matches so far, I had just made the wrong choices, the wrong gestures."
