Inter star Wesley Sneijder has lavished praise on Jose Mourinho for his rebirth in Italy. The Dutchman was bought by Mourinho in 2009 from Real Madrid, having struggled to establish himself at the Bernabeu and win over the club’s supporters. But Mourinho trusted in Sneijder, and the Holland star is eternally grateful.
"I had a great 2009/10 season. Certainly the best of my career", said Sneijder, who has been nominated for the FIFA Golden Ball 2010.
The attacking midfielder went on to pay tribute to Mourinho stating: "Without him, we would not have won the treble."
In fact, Sneijder believes that Mourinho is such a supremely talented coach that just one season under his guidance is worth many more with another coach elsewhere.
"Even for a season, I was delighted to work with him. A year with him, it’s worth ten with anyone else."
