Palermo’s exciting young Argentine attacking midfielder Javier Pastore has revealed it is his dream to play with Lionel Messi at Barcelona. The 21-year-old has won admirers all across Europe with his displays so far this season and several European powerhouses are believed to be monitoring his situation closely. But Pastore is clear, Barcelona would be his dream.
"For the style of play, Barcelona is the team that I like most", said Pastore to El Mundo Deportivo when questioned about where he would like to play in future. "It would be a dream to play with Lionel Messi. I’m quiet, I’m 21, and still have a lot to learn."
However, it does not appear an exit is imminent for Pastore, as he went on to state that: "In Palermo I try to learn as much as possible, not after it. I want to continue to grow."
Pastore only joined Palermo last year, having made the move from Huracan. He cost the Serie A side what now looks a bargain $8M.
