Real Madrid are believed to be keeping an eye on Manchester United’s impressive young striker Javier Hernandez. The Spanish giants have been impressed with how quickly Hernandez has adapted to European club football and think the Mexican forward could be a future star.

According to Cadena Ser, Los Blancos coach Jose Mourinho has asked the Real Madrid hierarchy to watch Hernandez closely and inform him if there is a chance of signing the youngster.

Real Madrid’s chances look slim at best as United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is delighted with Hernandez’s progress and feels him central to the club’s future. Nevertheless, Mourinho wishes Real to keep a close watch on developments in case the chance to sign the Mexican should arise.
