AC Milan hit the top of the Serie A table last night as Lazio lost at Cesena (1-0) and Inter could only draw away to Lecce (1-1). The Rossoneri by contrast, saw off Palermo (3-1) at the San Siro in their evening fixture.

Goals from the club’s most fearsome three strikers proved to be the undoing of Palermo, who had managed to level the game in the second half. Strikes from Alexandre Pato (19 mins), Zlatan Ibrahimovic (77 mins) and Robinho (83 mins) was enough to ensure Milan took the three points and topped the Serie A table by a single point, ahead of Lazio.

However, there was some bad news for the Rossoneri though, as injury worries hang over Alexandre Pato and Filippo Inzaghi. Pato picked up a niggle in his left thigh, while Inzaghi hurt his knee. Both are therefore doubtful for the Milan derby against Inter this coming weekend.
