Reports from Italy suggest that Lazio are disappointed with the performances of their new left back Javier Garrido, who arrived from Manchester City just days after Aleksandr Kolarov was sold to the English club.

Lazio, who were early pace-setters in Serie A, are keen on bringing in an alternative to Garrido if the Spaniard’s performances at the Stadio Olimpico do not improve.

Coach Edy Reja is thought to have targeted Bayern Munich’s full back Edson Braafheid as a suitable alternative and has been encouraged by talk from Germany that the player will be available. A fee of around €3M is believed to be enough to secure Braafheid.
