Inter star Wesley Sneijder has said that he believes Rafael Benitez is a great coach and will lead the side to derby victory over AC Milan this weekend. The Nerazzurri go into the game trailing Milan in the league standings and with serious questions being asked about their ability to continue to dominate Serie A, but Sneijder is sure they will bounce back.

"We are in trouble", admitted the Dutchman, "but we have some excuse: we’re coming off a fantastic season that no one will ever forget."

The former Real Madrid attacking midfielder then went on to promise the club’s fans that they will not fail in the derby and reassured them that Benitez is a fine coach and appealed for their support.

"In the derby, we will not fail, because it will be like my debut [when Inter won] as it was last year. I’ll never forget. We need your support, both for us and Benitez. He’s a great coach, just as [Jose] Mourinho was."
