Bastian Schweinsteiger has sent the rumour mill into over drive by suggesting that he knows he would be a success at clubs other than Bayern Munich. While there is no suggestion Schweinsteiger has decided to leave the Allianz Arena, talk is growing that he fancies a spell abroad, with Chelsea, Real Madrid, Inter and Manchester United all keen.

The German international, whose contract with Bayern expires in 2012, recently declared his desire to put talks over an extension on hold and there is a widespread expectation that bids will arrive at the Allianz Arena for Schweinsteiger next summer.

"I want to win the Champions League", Schweinsteiger, who missed out when Bayern lost to Inter in the final last season, told Sport1, before adding, "and I can do well at other clubs."

The implication appears to be clear: Schweinsteiger must see evidence Bayern can become kings of Europe, or he will seek his fortune elsewhere. And with no shortage of takers, the Germany star should have his pick of clubs.
