Fiorentina are keen on Brazilian midfielder Jucilei da Silva according to reports from Italy. The 22-year-old currently plays for Corinthians in his homeland and could well make the move to Europe once the current Brazilian season ends; Corinthians are on course to win the country’s Serie A with a single point lead over Fluminense with three games to go.
Jucilei has already registered on the radar of a number of Italian sides, with Juventus, AC Milan and Napoli all believed to be monitoring his progress closely. Fiorentina though hope to steal a march over their rivals and clinch a deal worth around €8M for the midfielder.
The 22-year-old made his senior Brazil team debut this year and is tipped to be further involved with the national team in the years ahead. Jucilei is under contract at Corinthians until 2012.
