Bundesliga side Wolfsburg are the latest to show an interest in Villarreal striker Nilmar. The 26-year-old Brazilian has continued to impress in La Liga and scored at the Camp Nou last weekend in his club’s 3-1 defeat to Barcelona.

Currently under contract with the Yellow Submarine until 2014, any side wishing to buy Nilmar will have to shell out a considerable amount. Wolfsburg, aware that they may soon lose Edin Dzeko, are investigating the possibility of signing the striker. Villarreal do not wish to part with Nilmar, but it is thought they would be willing to listen to bids upwards of €20M.

Nilmar’s progress has also been noted by AC Milan who, following injuries to Filippo Inzaghi and Alexandre Pato, could be looking to add to their striking department in the winter transfer window.
