Bayern Munich will not hesitate to sell Bastian Schweinsteiger if it appears the midfielder will not sign a new contract. Schweinsteiger is out of contract with the Allianz Arena outfit in 2012 and has so far failed to put pen to paper on a new deal.

While the Bundesliga giants’ coach Louis van Gaal has indicated he expects Schweinsteiger to be sold for a sizeable amount if he does not sign soon, Bayern sporting director Christian Nerlinger issued a rebuke to the Dutchman, pointing out that to continue to enjoy success the club "needs players like Schweinsteiger."

The German midfielder will have his pick of Europe’s giants should he decide to seek his fortune elsewhere. Inter are understood to be ready to send €30M to Munich for Schweinsteiger, while Manchester United and Real Madrid are also keen. Chelsea too are believed to be keeping a close eye on developments, raising the intriguing possibility that Bayern could ask for one of their long term targets (Jose Bosingwa and Gael Kakuta) to be included in any deal.
