Reports from France suggest that Tottenham Hotspur could be ready to rival Bayern Munich for Ivory Coast star Gervinho. The 23-year-old, who impressed with his country at the World Cup, currently turns out for Ligue 1 side Lille in France, but is open to taking the next step in his career.

Gervinho, who can play as a winger or forward, was heavily linked with a move away from Lille in the summer, with Liverpool taking a particular interest in the player.

The Ivory Coast star shrugged off the disappointment of missing out on a summer move to the Premier League though and has shown a fine attitude by working harder than ever for Lille. Gervinho currently has six goals in eleven Ligue 1 games this season.

Lille would be looking for a fee upwards of €10M for Gervinho, but are believed to be ready to let the player move on to bigger things. Whether that will be a move to White Hart Lane, the Allianz Arena, or somewhere else, remains to be seen.
