Manchester City and Inter are leading the chase for young Brazilian midfielder Zezinho, who has already been dubbed the "new Kaka". The 18-year-old currently turns out for Santos and has been marked out as one of the country’s hottest prospects.
Zezinho has already made 14 appearances in the Brazilian top flight so far, and those have been enough to persuade City and Inter that the youngster is worth pursuing.
It is believed that Santos may be willing to let Zezinho go if they can receive a sizeable fee. The Brazilian side are hopeful of a bidding war developing between the two clubs, pushing up the midfielder’s price. There are also those in Brazil who feel Zezinho should continue his maturation in his homeland before moving abroad.
