Senegal striker Papiss Cisse is not ready to move to Juventus in the January transfer window and will finish the season with his Bundesliga club Freiburg, according to the player’s representative.
Cisse has shown some impressive form in the Bundesliga so far this season, notching 11 goals for Freiburg and attracting the attention of a number of bigger clubs.
One of these, Juventus, was investigating the possibility of swooping for Cisse in January, despite the fact that he only arrived at Freiburg this year and is under contract until 2014. Nevertheless, any move before the end of the season looks unlikely according to Guido Nickolai.
"He has a contract with Freiburg until 2014 and anyone who wants to should get in touch with the club. There is no contact yet. He is playing very well.
"He arrived in January last year, scoring six goals. This season he’s scored 11 league goals, we’ll see what the future holds for him. Certainly he will end the season with Freiburg."
