Ligue 1 side Auxerre are moving to sign South Korean striker Jung Jo-Gook. The 26-year-old should sign for the French side today after passing his medical, but will not be available to be registered until the winter transfer window opens on 1st January, 2011.

Jung Jo-Gook arrives from K-League side FC Seoul, having impressed with the South Korean club and also clocked up appearances for his country’s national team.

Auxerre will hope that the Korean hit-man can boost their attacking options for the second half of the Ligue 1 season. Currently Auxerre sit in lower mid-table in the French league and, having enjoyed Champions League participation last season, are dreaming of ensuring Europe’s top tier football for the 2011/12 campaign.
