Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti believes that having left White Hart Lane with a 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur yesterday the club’s poor form is now a thing of the past.

The Blues had been on a shocking run heading into the Premier League clash, and defeat to Spurs, with games against Manchester United and Arsenal to come, would have raised serious questions about the Italian’s future. But Ancelotti insists his team reacted well.

"We played well today. We started the game well, but we changed our idea of play when we conceded a goal. We wanted to play more defensively and use the counter attack", explained Ancelotti to the club’s official site, "but after Tottenham’s goal we played differently."

And Ancelotti believes his Chelsea side deserved all three points, rather than just one.

"We had more strength, more passion, more determination and we deserved to win."

The Italian also reflected on a missed penalty, concluding that it is of little importance because the main thing is that Chelsea have found their form once again.

"We came very close to winning, we missed a penalty, but it doesn’t matter. Our bad moment is behind us."
