Barcelona are believed to be very close to agreeing new contracts with Sergio Busquets and Bojan Krkic. The young duo are highly rated by the Camp Nou club and are currently under contract until 2013. However, Barcelona will extend that by two years as they seek to reassure both Busquets and Krkic that their long term futures are with the Catalan giants.
Club vice-president Josep Maria Bartomeu is reported as having met with representatives of the two players in recent days in an attempt to push the contract renewals forward. Bartomeu is thought to have achieved almost total agreement with both parties and only minor details remain to be ironed out.
After agreeing deals with both youngsters Barcelona are expected to give their full attention to coach Josep Guardiola, persuading the Catalan chief to sign a new deal at the Camp Nou.
