TP Mazembe coach Lamine N’Diaye has explained that his team are dreaming of beating Inter to win the Club World Cup, and also praised his players for remaining in African football rather than heading for the riches of Europe.

The current African champions made history by reaching the final of the Club World Cup in the United Arab Emirates, pulling off a shock by beating South American champions Internacional 2-0 in their semi-final. Now Mazembe are dreaming of glory.

"Playing against these great teams is an honour", explained N’Diaye. "Everyone has a dream called the Club World Cup, and me too.

"Sixty per cent of the team wanted to go to Europe last year, but I made them stay and placed the challenge of winning the [African] Champions League before them once again. Now these are positive times, we want to keep our best talent in Africa."
