Toulouse coach Alain Casanova has criticised his striker Yanis Tafer, saying he expected much better of the player this season. The highly rated Tafer, just 19 years old, is on loan from Lyon, and Casanova expected him to be finding the net left, right and centre, but it has not worked out like that so far.
"I regret that he has not sufficiently grasped the opportunity handed to him", said Casanova to L’Equipe. "One has the impression that he has a lead weight on his shoulders, rather than a competitors mental attitude."
However, the Toulouse boss will persist with Tafer and is hoping that he can shrug off his poor form, stating that "he has had his chance, and he will again."
