Juventus have confirmed that, should the players they want be available, they will be big players in the January transfer window.

The Old Lady have been linked with moves for several players, with an extra striker deemed essential. However, the Serie A giants are also thought to be keen on adding a defender or two.

"If a good opportunity to strengthen arises during the winter transfer window, the Old Lady will do so", said Juventus sporting director Beppe Marotta.

And while attack has long been mooted as the area the Italians want to strengthen, they will not neglect their defence. Juventus have been linked with moves for Fabiano Santacroce (Napoli), Salvatore Bocchetti (Rubin Kazan) and Cristian Zaccardo (Parma).
