Barcelona midfielder Xavi has revealed he is as hungry for silverware now as he was when he took his first steps into the game. The Ballon d’Or nominee spoke to Catalan daily Sport and reflected on the last year, while declaring for 2011 he just wants to keep on winning.

"I could not ask for more", said Xavi when asked if there was anything else that he would have liked from a remarkable 2010, "as we play football the way we do, and how we attack. I’m really enjoying it, we have small forwards and are winning titles. We also won the World Cup with the national team, the team won the most difficult league in history with 99 points and the way we did it."

The midfielder, who many believe should be voted Ballon d’Or winner ahead of team-mates Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta also revealed that he never tires of winning and simply wants to pick up more trophies in 2011.

"I always want to win more titles. Win La Liga, and the Champions League, I want to win and win. One never tires of winning. The day you get tired of winning you’ll realise you should stop. There is tremendous enthusiasm to get back our titles in the team."
