Nice president Stellardo Gilbert has confirmed that he will allow highly rated keeper David Ospina to leave the south coast club in the summer, but has put any talk of a January exit to an end.
"He will stay until the end of the season", said Gilbert, before adding: "He has permission to leave next summer. That’s why we’ve hired a Chilean goalkeeper of great quality, it’s part of the post season changes."
There had been suggestions that Ospina would be a target for a number of sides in the January transfer window, but Gilbert is determined to give interested clubs no encouragement.
"For now, there is no question that he could leave in the transfer window."
