New Inter coach Leonardo believes that he could not have a bigger challenge than restoring the fortunes of the current Italian and European champions. The former Milan boss inherits a side from Rafael Benitez sitting seventh in Serie A, a far cry from the legacy that Jose Mourinho bequeathed the Spaniard.

"I do not have a bigger challenge than this", said Leonardo, who added that he was "very excited" to return to the bench with Inter.

The Brazilian though, does not so much see his job with the Nerazzurri as rebuilding, more helping the side which Mourinho won everything with last season, to rediscover their former selves.

"The team is strong and there is nothing to invent", said Leonardo. "A team that has won everything, I do not need to invent anything with. I have to put the players out in a way so they can express themselves in the best way possible."
