Manchester City have announced that they have completed the signing of Edin Dzeko. The Eastlands club are thought to have paid in the region of £27M for the Bosnian’s services and Dzeko has inked a four and a half year deal.

"I was always attracted to joining City", explained Dzeko. "I have been linked with the club for a long time, going back to last summer, but Wolfsburg did not want to sell me until now."

And Dzeko claims his move to City is not about money, with ambition rather than cash at the heart of his decision to swap the German Bundesliga for the English Premier League.

"Everybody speaks about City having lots of money, but it [the move] is not about that. It is about ambition and I have spoken to coach [Roberto] Mancini and he told me ‘this is the best club for you’. City are playing for first place in the Premier League and that is what I want."
