Liverpool are believed to have joined the clubs tracking Anderlecht striker Romelu Lukaku. The youngster, who has been likened to Chelsea forward Didier Drogba due to his powerful style of play, is expected to be the subject of fierce interest from several sides at the end of the current campaign.

Lukaku’s Belgian club have already gone on record as stating that they do not expect the striker to leave in the January transfer window, but also sent out a warning to any interested parties that they will be looking for in excess of €20M when the 17-year-old is sold.

The striker, who managed 19 goals last season for Anderlecht, is finding the 2010/11 campaign more testing and has struggled to impose himself on opposing sides to the same degree. Lukaku however, continues to shine out as a beacon of potential and with Arsenal and Real Madrid also tracking the youngster, a summer-long transfer saga is expected.
