Alberto Aquilani’s agent has confirmed that he expects Juventus to move to make the player’s loan from Liverpool permanent in the next few months, with May looking the most likely for a decision to be made.

The midfielder left Anfield following an unhappy 12 months on Merseyside after previous boss Roy Hodgson consented to a season-long loan to Juventus. The Old Lady also negotiated an option to sign Aquilani permanently at any time throughout the loan for a fee of €13.5M.

"The redemption of Alberto could come now, or in a few months", explained Aquilani’s agent Frank Zavala to a transfer special show on Sport Italia, "but May seems to me the most likely month for a decision."

Zavala then praised his client’s performances this season in Serie A, stating he believes it is only a matter of time until the 26-year-old returns to the Italian national team.

"Without the ankle problem, Alberto has had a very good championship, he must continue the journey he started. I think he will get back in the national team."
