VfL Wolfsburg’s Italian defender Andrea Barzagli has said he is flattered by interest from Serie A giants Juventus and considers the Old Lady to be an interesting option. The 29-year-old’s contract expires at the Volkswagen Arena at the end of the season and he has been repeatedly linked with a move.

"Juventus is certainly an interesting option and I am glad they are interested in me", Barzagli told Sky Sport, before explaining he is aware that the clubs are talking.

"I do not know how far the clubs are from each other in negotiations, but they are talking to each other. We’ll see what happens."

Juventus do have a card to play with Wolfsburg in that the Bundesliga side still owe a portion of the fee agreed for midfielder Diego in the summer. The Old Lady could look at writing off some of this amount in exchange for Barzagli.
