Romelu Lukaku could well be on his way to Manchester City if reports from Belgium are accurate. The Anderlecht striker is hot property and has been linked with a host of European giants including Arsenal, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Chelsea and Inter, but City have barged to the front of the queue.

The 17-year-old’s Belgian side have been adamant that Lukaku will not leave during this month’s transfer window and also revealed they want the bidding to start at upwards of €20M before they will consider selling their prize asset.

According to Sport Foot magazine however, Manchester City are in advanced negotiations with Anderlecht to secure Lukaku’s signature. The striker would move to Eastlands in the summer and his Belgian side would be well compensated by the Premier League club.

Lukaku has found this season much harder going than last season with Anderlecht, and while goals have continued to come, his toil has been much greater as defenders rely on a season of experience from facing the powerful youngster.
