Luis Figo, the legendary Portuguese winger who now works with Internazionale, has predicted that new coach Leonardo will win something with the Serie A club.

The former Barcelona and Real Madrid star also stated his belief that Wesley Sneijder should have at least been amongst the three players considered for the FIFA Ballon d’Or Lionel Messi won earlier this month.

"We have confidence in Leonardo", said Figo when asked of his opinion of Inter’s new Brazilian coach. "I think he will win something."

And the Portuguese also expressed his disappointment that Inter star Wesley Sneijder was overlooked for the recent Ballon d’Or shortlist, with three Barcelona players included, and Lionel Messi ultimately winning.

"I’m a big fan of Messi", said Figo, "but Sneijder deserved at least a podium place for what he did with Inter and Holland."
