Polish striker Ireneusz Jelen feels that his time at Auxerre is coming to an end. The 29-year-old is out of contract with the Ligue 1 club at the end of the season and has so far not penned an extension.

One of the club’s most potent attacking players since joining in 2006, Jelen has garnered a number of admirers across Europe and played a big part in helping Auxerre to finish third in last season’s Ligue 1, scoring 14 times and ensuring a Champions League spot.

According to reports in France though, Jelen has broken off negotiations with Auxerre over a new deal and looks all but set to leave the club in June. Jelen has been targeted by Russian giants Rubin Kazan in recent months and it would be no surprise to see them revisit the Pole.
