Lazio coach Edy Reja has stamped on suggestions that Argentine striker Mauro Zarate could be leaving the Serie A club. Zarate has clashed with Reja in recent weeks, with the veteran coach demanding that the forward follows his instructions on the pitch.
Zarate had emerged as a possible target for Liverpool and Juventus, while other clubs around Europe are weighing up the possibility of a summer swoop.
But Reja has told any interested parties to forget about signing Lazio’s star forward.
"Zarate is not moving. I tell you 200%", said Reja when questioned about talk that the player would leave the Rome side.
"I do not understand how some news like this came out."
