Reports from Holland suggest Ajax are keen to have Dirk Kuyt included in any deal with Liverpool for Luis Suarez. The Dutch side are far away from the Reds in their valuation of Suarez and little progress was made with the Premier League side’s director of football strategy Damien Comolli, who flew to Amsterdam yesterday. But Ajax are still thinking of how their frontline would look without the Uruguayan.

Ajax are standing firm in their demand of €30M for Suarez, with the forward under contract until 2013 and the Dutch believing that one of the stars of last summer’s World Cup is worth double Liverpool’s initial offer of €15M.

Including Kuyt in any deal could help narrow the gap between the two clubs, while at the same time ensuring Ajax boss Frank de Boer has the new forward he has insisted upon in the event that Suarez leaves. Kuyt is a proven goalscorer in the Eredivisie and would go some way to offsetting the loss of Suarez.

Ajax had thought about Ryan Babel heading the other way, but the Dutchman finally agreed to move to German side Hoffenheim last night after being told the chances of a move to the Amsterdam ArenA were slim.

In other developments, Ajax are also reported to be considering sending a complaint to FIFA, believing that the Reds have discussed terms with Suarez without first gaining permission.
