Former Arsenal captain Tony Adams is hoping to revive Collins John’s career after it stumbled in the United States. Adams, currently coaching in Azerbaijan is snapping up the 25-year-old for Gabala FC.

Collins John most recently turned out for Chicago Fire in the United States, but Adams remembers him for a spell at Fulham and is hoping he can rediscover his old form.

"I hope that Collins can find his old form here", said Adams. "A few years ago he was a very talented player. I hope I can help him get back on the way up. It’s a new chance for him."

Galaba FC have big plans for the future and Adams himself is paid a reported £1M per year.
