Blackburn Rovers are hoping to complete a deadline-day-beating deal for Barcelona B striker Ruben Rochina – a move the player believes is close to being done.

The 19-year-old Spaniard has asked Barcelona to allow him to head to England and has been offered a four-year contract by the Premier League side. The Catalan giants however, well aware Rochina could blossom at Ewood Park, are thought to have demanded a buy-back clause be inserted in the deal, allowing them to re-sign the striker for a set amount in 2012.

"I have a four-year offer from Blackburn", explained Rochina to Spanish radio station Com Radio. "I decided to leave for sporting and financial reasons. Barcelona and Blackburn have an agreement about my transfer, the deal is about to be closed."
